This section brings together our key results – tools, knowledge, and tested solutions that support the transition towards more sustainable aquaculture.

At the core of our work are Living Labs, where stakeholders from across the value chain come together to test and refine biodegradable aquaculture nets in real conditions. These are not theoretical exercises, but hands-on processes that connect research with everyday practice.

Through ongoing testing, feed trials, and material development, we generate evidence on how bio-based solutions perform – environmentally, technically, and economically.

At the same time, we support this process with targeted capacity building, ensuring that fish farmers, businesses, and policymakers not only understand these innovations, but are ready to apply them.

Our results are designed to be used – supporting stakeholders in making informed decisions and enabling the wider uptake of sustainable solutions in aquaculture.
